Hot Tips #1

Q. How do I get help?

A. There are many ways to get help from iGrafx
Self help is available with iGrafx by pressing the Help button when it is displayed or by selecting Help > iGrafx Help from the Menu.

Did you also know that there is a hot key for help? Press the F1 key at any time within iGrafx to bring up the help window.

Q. I need more help.

A. Select Help > iGrafx Web Site from the menu in iGrafx and then select Support from the menu on the left of the screen or click here.

From the Support page you can search our extensive online Knowledge Base for free. If you cannot find what you are looking for, then please complete a Standard online request form and an iGrafx representative will respond to you, usually within 48 hours.

Premium support is also available on request. For more information just click here.

Hot Tip #2

Q. How do I publish an interactive pdf file??

A. In the iGrafx menu, select File, Publish as, then select ‘PDF Document’ from the list.
Tick the boxes for the components that you want to publish, then click ‘Next’.
Enter a filename for your document, if it is different to the name displayed and then choose the file location.

Make sure that the tick box ‘Use Acrobat Javascript to enable multiple links’ is selected and click on finish.
You can now view your published document, highlight notes and click on the links.

Hot Tip #3

Q. I need to send my diagram to a client, can I protect my IP?

A. Yes you can by embedding a watermark in your iGrafx diagram or Published document.
Go to the File Menu and select Page Setup, then select the Watermark tab. From here, you can tick the 'Enable Watermark' box and then type in the text that you want to display in the text field.
If you want the watermark to appear, but only as a faint view, set the intensity to around 20 to 25%

Hot Tip #4

Q. I am presenting a Process to discuss with colleagues. Are there any tools in iGrafx that can help?

A. Yes there are. With your Process diagram open in iGrafx, go to the View Menu and select Full Screen.
If you press the left mouse button you can draw in Red, the Right mouse button you can draw in Green, or with the mouse wheel (or both buttons on most laptops) you can draw in yellow. This allows you to discuss and highlight areas in your Process. When finished. Press the Print Screen button and then paste into the graphics package of your choice.
Press the escape key and you will return to a normal view of your Process diagram without having made any changes to it.
